Seun Kuti walks out on Gov. Sanwo-Olu at sister, Yeni Kuti’s 60th birthday party at Afrikan Shrine

Seun Kuti, a renowned activist, and son of the legendary Fela Anikulapo-Kuti has caused a stir on social media after a video of him walking out on Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu at his sister, Yeni Kuti’s 60th birthday surfaced on social media.

 

The Nigerian recording artiste and saxophonist has openly divulged his disgust about the State governor in time past and has criticized him on various occasions; hence, he could not withstand his presence at his sister’s celebration.

 

According to the media platform, Hip TV,  Seun Kuti who is the pioneer of the Nigerian Resistance Movement, expressed his displeasure with Sanwo-Olu’s attendance by raising two middle fingers and walking out on the Lagos state Governor after he showed up to felicitate with his sister.

 

He was later brought back to the venue by his elder brother, Femi Kuti who tried to douse the tension.

 

 

Although the situation was quickly quelled by Seun’s elder brother, Femi Kuti; the moment of disarray has been trending on social media.

Equally important, Yeni Kuti is the daughter of Nigerian activist and social commentator, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.

Yeni had shared stunning photos of herself on social media to celebrate the milestone on Monday, May 24.

 

Few days back the sexagenarian had also shared a beautiful photo of herself and younger brother, Femi Kuti which she captioned;

Almost 60 and proud to be 60. Sitting with my longest-serving sibling. Thank you for the support all these years!”
