Simi explains why Nigerians shouldn’t curse children of politicians

Nigerian recording artiste Simi has admonished her followers not to haul curses at the children of politicians.

The mother and singer is of the opinion that raining curses on them wouldn’t be good for their mental health.

Taking to her Twitter handle, she wrote;

I feel like we really shouldn’t be raining curses on the children of these people.

I understand the agitation and that most of them don’t care about us, but the goal is to be better than them and I can’t imagine it’s good for the mental health of them kids.

We can rise above it.”

In an interview with Bolanle on Ndani TV, the ‘Joromi’ crooner revealed that she met Adekunle Gold on Facebook and their first meeting was at a show she headlined in Lagos.

Simi refuses to talk about her marriage

During the interview session, she refused to respond to the reporter who asked her about her marriage.

The interviewer asked the songstress, “Congratulations on your marriage to Adekunle Gold.”
Then Simi replied, “Please don’t let us talk about that. I won’t talk about that matter. So just drop the question.” The interviewer would then ask, “How soon are you settling down to have kids and build a family with him?”
Simi would get infuriated and reply, “I am definitely not going to talk about family with the media. You won’t hear that from me. If there are other questions, I will love to speak about them but not about family or marriage. It’s a no.”
The talented songstress recently left her former record label, Xtreme Music.  Furthermore, she announced the establishment of her record label, Studio Brat.

Simi broke the news of the new imprint on Thursday, June 20, 2019.

She wrote:

“The norm is to do a formal and proper press release, with big, impersonal words – but this is me and you.

“We started with true laughs, constructive criticism, silly jokes and personal moments. We’re gonna keep it that way.”
