The leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, IMN, Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, and wife, Zeenat have arrived Delhi, Indian capital. Both of them travelled for their medical treatment.
Reports say that El-Zakzaky was received by a medical team who conveyed him in a wheelchair to the hospital.
El-Zakzaky departed Nigeria at about 6:30 pm on Monday aboard an Emirate flight, with a brief stopover in Dubai.

The spokesperson of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria said, El-Zakzaky and his wife made a stopover at Dubai International Airport at about 4:00 am on Tuesday, and arrived India the same day.
Thousands welcome Sheikh Zakzaky and his wife as they arrived at Medanta Hospital Gurgaon for medical attention. Supporters stormed New Delhi Airport prior to the arrival of the Sheikh. Sheikh Zakzaky has been suffering from various illness due to deposit of lead in his body from bullets. He lost eye during soldiers attack in his residence in Zaria on December 2015.
Since then he was never given proper medical attention by the Government of Nigeria until when his health condition deteriorated. He was given permission by Court to attend to his health in India recently.
Treatment commences immediately
Upon the arrival of Sheikh Zakzaky at Mandenta Hospital in India, he was immediately admitted and medical experts of the hospital have already commenced work.
They started by preliminary check ups as they asked the Sheikh some questions on how he is feeling. The speed at which the specialists paid attention to the Sheikh speaks volumes. Prior to his leaving to india the Sheikh’s health condition was serious especially during his last appearance at Kaduna Court.
