Magistrate Bola Osunsanmi of an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court has ordered a computer instructor, Cosmos Ugbaja, accused of raping a teenager to be remanded in Kirikiri Prison pending when he would perfect his bail. Magistrate Osunsanmi made the order after Ugbaja was arraigned on a count charge of rape preferred against him by the Police, of which he had pleaded not guilty.
The Police had charged Ugbaja to court for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl (names withheld), who is a Junior Secondary Student, JSS, 3 in a public school in Ishawo, Ikorodu area of the state. According to Police Prosecutor, Inspector Samuel Imohsonwa, the suspect serially raped his victim between January and May this year. Read more
