The Player’s Diary: Romeo Not Juliet 6 – Kingsley Alaribe

At a couple of hours past midnight, Romeo and his wife were deeply asleep. Juliet came up to them on Romeo’s side of the bed and tapped him gently. He was slightly alarmed when he saw her. However, realizing that Andrea was still deep in sleep made him relax.

Juliet, who was dressed in a white, silk sleeping gown, took him by the hand and led him downstairs, neither of them speaking a word until they were just beside the long couch in the living room.

“What are you doing?” Romeo protested weakly.

“Wishing you sweet dreams,” she replied with a smirk.

“This is insane, Andrea is going to . . .”

Juliet dropped low and took him in her mouth. For the rest of the night, no more words were spoken – only moans.

As Andrea came awake at dawn, ready to get set for her morning routine, she found it absurd that Romeo wasn’t on his side of the bed. It ticked her off because Romeo almost never got up before her. She quickly checked the bathroom, and the veranda, and then went downstairs where she found him sprawled on the couch in the living room. The sight of him that way was in absolute nonconformity with his natural disposition. She observed him closer.

There was semen on his body.

During her run that morning, Andrea was distracted with thoughts about Romeo. There was a peculiarity to the situation – on one hand, she was sure her husband was seeing another woman; on the second hand, she had no traces of any woman. He couldn’t be supremely careful and so careless at the same time. She couldn’t confront him with the shallow speculations in her mind, she needed solid facts.

Later that afternoon Andrea made contact with a private investigator she found on a website, and provided him with all the required information about her husband. She demanded feedback within forty-eight hours.

He promised to get in touch sooner.
