National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has finally returned to Nigeria.
Tinubu returned to Nigeria after undergoing knee surgery in London, the United Kingdom (UK).
His return to Nigeria was confirmed in a statement by his media office; with the statement revealing that Tinubu had undergone surgery on his right knee while away in the UK. Following the surgery, the APC leader also underwent a rigorous post-surgery physiotherapy on the right knee.
“Contrary to unfounded rumour, he underwent no other surgical procedures and contemplates none in the future.
”His recuperation has been without complication and ahead of the schedule by the attending surgeon.
‘He has returned fully healed from the knee surgery and fully committed to doing his modest part of advancing the cause of progressive democratic good governance throughout our beloved nation.”
Furthermore, the statement revealed that Tinubu thanked President Muhammadu Buhari; governors, and other political leaders who visited him while he was in the UK.
Photos showed that Tinubu was received on his return at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu. The governor was one of the prominent politicians who visited Tinubu while in London.
1st News had reported that the London abode of Tinubu had turned into a Mecca of sorts for politicians; as well as other associates of the incapacitated APC leader.
Among the prominent politicians that had visited the Jagaban were President Muhammadu Buhari; Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; former chairman of the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) and ex-legal adviser to the APC, Muiz Banire; Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi; Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, as well as other members of the state’s legislature; former Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun; Speaker, House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, among a host of others.
