Nigerian media personality, Toke Makinwa has admonished men to include either their wives or children as their next-of-kin.
Toke Makinwa mentioned that it is pivotal for married men to leave an inheritance for their offsprings because of various entitled family members. She stated that men should leave something tangible for their children due to unforeseen circumstances.
The Rhythm FM On-Air personality mentioned several greedy relatives are usually entitled in their siblings’ property once he is deceased. Toke admonished for this culture to be buried as well as nullified with immediate effect.
Taking to the microblogging site, Twitter on Monday, June 30, the OAP wrote;
“I’ve never heard of “men” being kicked out of the house when their wives die or properties being seized, cars collected, humiliated, etc. why are women still subject to this rubbish still? Why? Like Why?”
“The entitlement of these so-called “in-laws” after their son dies is disgusting, all the things they could not try while he was alive.
How can someone die and the neighbours have to come in to rescue his wife from vultures called relatives? It’s always the woman that suffers.
If you are married to someone who has greedy family members.
If they all solely depend on your husband for everything.
Pls, ensure he puts everything in his children’s name if he refuses to jointly have your names on the property, it’s ok, let him put your kid’s names.”
The popular media personality has since gained a reputation for making controversial comments about relationships.
Toke Makinwa who was married to the fitness coach, Maje Ayida revealed that women are attracted to bad boys due to their breathtaking personality. According to the on-air personality, more often than not, the relationship ends in heartbreak.
