A UI/UX designer has accused Ubi Franklin via Twitter of hiring her to complete a task and refusing to pay her after she put in a lot of time to complete it.
She claimed that the music executive had contacted her about the position using Iyanya’s official Twitter account.
After providing his phone number, they started a WhatsApp conversation during which he continued to give her the brief. She also mentioned that she provided him with a quote of N500K.
She said they did a Zoom call so she confirmed it is indeed Ubi she is working for. He then instructed her to start the job and he would pay her later in a voice note, which she shared.
When she began the job and she didn’t receive payment, she said she reached out to Ubi. He said it was because of the elections and he promised to pay after the elections.

However, she said after the elections ended, she did not hear from Ubi until she threatened to call him out. She also shared screenshots of their chats to back her claims.
She wrote: “Good afternoon Twitter NG. Please help me tell @ubifranklin1 to pay me the money he owes me. In January, Mr. Ubi Franklin reached out to me through @Iyanya’s Twitter account to tell me there were a few projects he wanted us to work on.”
Below are screenshots of the what she shared.
