Unknown gunmen kill Kogi final year student in exam hall


The Kogi State Police Command has confirmed the death of Apeh Joseph some unknown gunmen killed at the Kogi State University, Ayingba.

According to the police, the deceased was a 400-level student of English Education and an alleged cultist.

In a statement, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP William Aya released last night; it claimed that the deceased was responsible for the cult killing that occurred in the university last month.

Aya stated that one Onuche Jibrin of the Security Unit of the Kogi State University; filed a complaint at a police station that “Two unknown men on a motorcycle shot one Joseph Apeh; a 400-Level student of English Education Department of the university; inside the campus.

He said the victim was rushed to the university teaching hospital where medical doctors confirmed him dead.

According to the statement, they have deposited the remains of the deceased in the morgue of the health facility for autopsy.
