WHO – Some of the world’s top public health experts are attending the Davos summit.
They say vaccine equity is crucial to ending the COVID-19 pandemic.
The World Health Organization’s (WHO) Emergencies Director Mike Ryan highlighted the vaccination gap.
He said half of the world’s population has received two doses; while the figure is only 7 percent in Africa.
He said low inoculation rates in some countries can encourage viral mutations and lead to global consequences.
