Woli Arole: ‘Do not commercialize Jesus’

Popular social media content creator and comedian, Woli Arole has taken to social media to admonish preachers to desist from using Jesus’ name to scam other people.


Woli Arole stated this on the microblogging site, Twitter.


He mentioned that it is wrong to deceive people by using Christian or religious ideology. He stated that it is a scam to manipulate through the use of malicious prophecies.


According to him, some persons have commercialized Jesus to the extent they give fake prophecies.

He shared his thought on his Twitter handle.

”Stop scamming people in the NAME of JESUS, Stop it.

Stop saying “this is what I see about you” when God didn’t show you anything If you’re hungry go and look for a job.

Start a trade and stop “COMMERCIALISM JESUS” he said.



A couple of months ago, Woli Arole narrated how he was almost assaulted by an onlooker; while he disguised as a mentally challenged man in Lagos.


He shared his encounter on his IG page. He also pointed out that in the midst of roaming about; as well as attempting to engage some people, a man almost slapped him.

I went on the street of Lagos dressed like a “Mentally ill” person, I saw the reaction of a lot of people, some people gave me money, some ran away from me, a guy nearly slapped me, then I realized that a lot of people look down on the “Mentally challenged” in the society, which is not too good there’s more we can collectively do in love.”
