
Kemi Adetiba celebrated her 39th birthday yesterday. There couldn’t be a better time to appreciate her personality, work ethics and creativity.
Kemi is a renowned music and movie director, producer and creative personnel in the entertainment industry.
She is the daughter of Dele Adetiba, a veteran and brand expert in the advertising and broadcast industries in Nigeria.

Prior to becoming famous in the 2010’s, Kemi was a child star. She appeared in numerous adverts and headlined two national commercials for the iconic detergent brand, OMO.

The multi-talented Kemi Adetiba worked as a radio presenter for Rhythm 93.7 FM, and transitioned into television broadcasting in subsequent years. She anchored the now defunct reality show Maltina Family Dance Show for three consecutive seasons.
She also appeared as a presenter on Soundcity.

After spending numerous years in front of the camera, Kemi Adetiba decided it was time to delve into the cinematography which was behind the camera.
She enrolled into New York Film Academy to master her craft in film production and directing.
Kemi Adetiba’s short movie Across a Bloodied Ocean was screened at the 2009 Pan African Film Festival and National Black Arts Festival. She made her musical directorial debut in TY Bello’s hit single ‘Ekundayo’ in 2008. Then she went on to work with Olamide, Wizkid, Banky W, Niyola, Da Grin and several others.
In 2016, she directed the blockbuster movie Wedding Party which served as her debut as a film director. The follow up movie, King of Boys was even more successful. She is one of the most successful female filmmakers in Nigeria and definitely changing the game of movie production in Africa.
She is a multiple award and she has worked with Netflix, MTV, Soundcity to name a few. Kemi Adetiba is our talented crush for this week.
