Simi commenced her music career as a gospel musician in the late 2000’s, she released her debut studio album in 2008 and it was titled “Ogaju.” The album would contain the hit single “Ara ile” which earned her modest notoriety among the Christian audience after she performed at several churches.

Simi would go through a rebranding phase during the early 2010’s, she stopped creating gospel music and decided to migrate into the Afro-pop and R &B music genre. She began to gain more audience when she released the single “Tiff” in 2014 and later “Jamb question,” a successful song that also featured also at the time fast rising musician Falz.

She has released three studio albums- the first as a gospel musician, the second was a collaboration album with rapper Falz titled Chemistry in 2016. Her most recent album is a self-titled album which was released in 2017.

Simi has earned several individual award nominations and also gone on to win multiple awards throughout the cause of her career. Simi is also an alumna of the prestigious private institution Covenant University where she studied Mass Communication and she is in a relationship with fellow musician Adekunle Gold.

We love Simi because she is talented, beautiful and she is a superstar that we all admire.
